Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya was started on November 1, 1978, in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh. The university focuses on teaching agriculture and related sciences to students. It has four main colleges: Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences, Home Science, and Basic Sciences. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has given its approval to the university.
